Choosing the Right Firearm for Squirrel Hunting

There is always a debate on whether to take a shotgun or a rifle. A shotgun can be great for beginner shooters, while a rifle is a great option for a more experienced shooter looking for a challenge. Squirrel hunting is a great way to practice better shooting accuracy, either shotgun or rifle, while in the off-season.

Either way you choose, the goal is to pick the right firearm that will help you have a successful hunt and encourage your youth hunter to keep hunting.

Watch Haley Heath and her daughter Dakota and son Gunnar as they discuss which firearm they prefer for squirrel hunting and the advantages and disadvantages of both. Have a safe hunt and go get some squirrels!
