Hunting the Wind

Knowing the weather in your area is important for a successful hunt because you want to see deer, whether you are with kids or by yourself. You’ll want to know where all of your stands are and which direction you’d like to hunt them in. When heading out into the woods, look which direction the wind is going and how fast it’s going. Once you get to the stand, be sure to check the wind again by using wind teaching powder to make sure everything is accurate.

Watch Haley Heath, her son Gunner, and daughter Dakota to know which way to walk to your stand, especially when trying to outsmart a big buck. Good luck and happy hunting!
